Before you Start!
- Gather all necessary items and place them within easy reach;
- Make sure your seat is low enough that both feet can be placed firmly on the ground
- Do not weight bear on weak leg
Donning and Removing Socks
The following steps are recommended guidelines for THR patients as outlined by the Saint Joseph Mercy Health System.
5. To remove, the leg is positioned as for putting the sock on. The sock is pushed off using a shoe horn or dressing stick.
